Among all the sea turtles, iguanas, dolphins, exotic birds, and tortoises, there is one plant that stands out to us among all this diverse flora and fauna... Coffee! And very delicious coffee at that... The Cooperativa de Cafetaleros de Galápagos is made up of more than 80 producing members with the purpose of protecting their trade while conserving the natural beauty and integrity of their environment. All of the coffee producers are very conscientious of the animals and plants that inhabit the islands along side them, since they consider themselves as temporary visitors on this Earth, where the original native plants and animals are the true owners of the island.
