Above is a schedule that represents when you can expect your coffee to be ready. The top box shows what day you order, and the bottom box shows when you can come pick it up!
We take pride in roasting to order, which ensures the freshest product and minimal waste. This is a very complicated process, which means our turnaround time is subject to the occasional delay. Keep in mind that we are a small team dealing with huge volumes of coffee! If we anticipate a delay, we will email you as soon as we can to let you know.
Note that orders placed Thursday through Saturday will take longer than a day or two to roast and fulfill. This is to guarantee the freshest possible coffee on our fulfillment schedule of Monday-Thursday.
- How / where will I pick up my order?
Our Cafe / Roastery HQ is located at 460 Lincoln Avenue Suite 10 in San Jose, California. There is car and motorcycle parking available, and we are straight down the hall and to the left when you enter the Arts Mercantile building.
Let the barista at the register know that you’re picking up your online order, your first and last name, and the order number sent to you in the confirmation email. The order number is required to pick up, so don’t forget to have it ready!
Note that since the order was paid for online, no payment is necessary at the time of pickup.
- I can’t pick up right away.
If you can’t pick up your order right away, it’s no problem. We know as well as anyone else that things come up!
We’ll hold onto your order for 7 days past its pickup date.
If you can’t pick up the coffee within this period, please wait to place your order until you can!
Once 7 days have passed, we will add the unclaimed coffee to our donation stock, per our freshness standards and waste mitigation policies, and it can no longer be claimed.
- I’m going to be late past store hours. Can you wait around for 5 minutes?
We strive to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs, but in order to provide that flexibility, it’s important that our baristas can open / close up shop on a consistent schedule.
We ask that you pick up your order within hours of operation not only for liability purposes, but as a courtesy to our staff to provide you with the best possible service. We appreciate it!
-Can you split a shipment order for shipping if I want one bag now, and a bag in a couple weeks?
We strive to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs, and these types of requests do not fit in to our Roast-to-Order practices. The warehouse is cleared of all shipments of roasted coffees by the end of the roast week (Thursday/Friday). Holding on to orders with special and excessive instructions or requests are not compatible with our models, and we simply do not have the warehouse space to be storing roasted coffee indefinitely.
Discounts are only available during the timeframe in which they are available, and we will not honor attempts to take advantage of sales outside of the promotional window. Separate batches are inherently separate orders. We appreciate your understanding, as we are a small team of people with little automation, who care deeply about everyone of you getting the opportunity to experience our coffee at it's freshest, most delicious state.
