Karimahiga AA
Kenya - Karimahiga AA
Nestled on the mist-kissed slopes of the Aberdare Range in Murang’a County, Kenya, the Karimahiga Coffee Factory stands as a testament to the rich heritage and meticulous craftsmanship of Kenyan coffee. At elevations between 1,650 and 1,700 meters, this region's cool temperatures and fertile red volcanic soils create the perfect environment for cultivating some of the world's most celebrated coffees.
The Karimahiga Coffee Factory, part of the New Kiriti Farmers Cooperative Society, processes cherries from 781 smallholder farmers. These dedicated producers, each tending to less than a hectare of land, handpick ripe cherries and deliver them promptly to the factory. The cherries undergo a traditional wet processing method, including double fermentation and sun-drying on raised beds, ensuring clarity and brightness in every cup.
This medium-light roast showcases the quintessential Kenyan coffee experience: a harmonious balance of fruitiness, acidity, and sweetness. Its versatility shines through, whether brewed as a clean filter coffee or a vibrant espresso.
By choosing Karimahiga AA, you're not just savoring a cup of coffee; you're supporting a community of smallholder farmers who pour their dedication into every cherry. This coffee embodies the spirit of collaboration, quality, and the rich agricultural legacy of the Aberdare slopes.
