Welcome to Chromatic Coffee! The terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Chromatic Coffee. We operate this online store and website, including all information, content, features, tools, products, and services (the “Services”) to provide you, our customer, with access to fresh, craft-roasted coffee and related goods.
Chromatic Coffee is powered by Shopify, which enables our storefront and checkout services.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Services and your relationship with Chromatic Coffee. Please read them carefully — they contain important information about your legal rights, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
SECTION 1 – ACCESS AND ACCOUNT
By using our Services, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province, and that you provide accurate and current information when creating an account or placing an order.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
SECTION 2 – OUR PRODUCTS
We roast coffee to order for freshness, and we make every effort to represent our products accurately. However, coffee is an agricultural product, and flavor profiles may vary slightly between harvests and roast dates.
Colors and appearance of products may differ from what you see on your screen due to device or monitor settings.
We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue products at any time, without notice.
SECTION 3 – ORDERS
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Orders are accepted once payment has been processed and confirmed by Chromatic Coffee.
Please review all details — including grind selection, shipping address, and item quantities — before completing checkout. We may not be able to change or cancel an order once roasting or fulfillment has begun.
Your purchases are subject to our Return and Refund Policy, which outlines how we handle coffee, merchandise, and equipment returns.
All purchases are for personal or household use and not for commercial resale without written consent.
SECTION 4 – PRICES AND BILLING
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and subject to change without notice. The price charged is that in effect at the time of your order. Taxes, shipping, customs, and duties (if applicable) are not included unless stated.
You agree to provide valid payment information and authorize Chromatic Coffee to charge your chosen payment method for the total amount, including shipping and applicable taxes.
Promotions, discount codes, or loyalty credits cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
SECTION 5 – SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
We roast and ship coffee as quickly as possible, but delivery times may vary depending on roast schedules, postal service, and location.
We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. Once a package leaves our facility, title and risk of loss transfer to you.
If a package is marked delivered but cannot be located, please contact the carrier first, then email info@chromaticcoffee.com for assistance.
SECTION 6 – FRESHNESS, GRINDING, AND PERISHABILITY
Coffee is a perishable product roasted specifically for your order. As such:

Opened or used coffee bags cannot be returned or exchanged.

Ground coffee cannot be returned if the wrong grind size was selected by you.

If we make an error (e.g., wrong item or incorrect grind), we will replace or refund promptly.

To ensure freshness, please store coffee in a cool, dry place, away from light and air.
If you have questions about selecting the correct grind for your brewing method, contact us before ordering — we’re happy to help.
SECTION 7 – EQUIPMENT, MERCH, AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

Brew gear and accessories: May be returned within 30 days if unused, in original packaging. Used items follow manufacturer warranties.

Apparel and merchandise: Must be unworn and unwashed for returns.

Subscriptions: Can be modified or canceled before your next billing cycle. Orders already processed or roasted follow the coffee return policy above.
SECTION 8 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All names, logos, artwork, product designs, and written materials on this site are the intellectual property of Chromatic Coffee and protected under U.S. and international law.
No part of the Services may be reproduced or used without written permission. “Chromatic Coffee” and associated marks are registered trademarks.
Any unauthorized use may result in termination of your account and legal action.
SECTION 9 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our store integrates third-party platforms (like Shopify, payment gateways, or shipping providers). Their policies and terms apply where relevant.
We are not responsible for their content, data handling, or availability. Please review their policies before engaging with those services.
SECTION 10 – FEEDBACK AND REVIEWS
If you share a review, photo, or feedback, you grant Chromatic Coffee a royalty-free, worldwide license to use and display that content in marketing or social media, provided it complies with community standards.
We reserve the right to moderate or remove any review that includes hate speech, personal attacks, spam, or unlawful content.

Occasionally there may be information on our website that contains typographical errors or inaccuracies relating to pricing, availability, or product descriptions.
We reserve the right to correct errors, update information, or cancel orders if necessary, even after submission.

Coffee quality perception varies by brew method, water chemistry, and personal taste. We make every effort to roast and ship at peak freshness but cannot guarantee identical sensory outcomes for all users.
SECTION 15 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chromatic Coffee and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our Services or products.
This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, revenue, or data.
SECTION 16 – INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chromatic Coffee, its employees, partners, and affiliates against claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
SECTION 17 – GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Santa Clara County, California, where Chromatic Coffee is headquartered.
